Lightroom London and 59 Studios required the adaptation of their film Prehistoric Planet (produced in partnership with Apple) for various locations across Europe. Originally designed for Lightroom’s four-screen IMAX "box" format, our task was to completely reconfigure the content for venues with vastly different shapes and dimensions.
As the Design and Project Manager, I oversaw the reformatting process for each site. Leading a team of seven animators over five months, we reformatted every shot to suit the specific requirements of each location. Each space presented unique architectural complexities; with site visits limited to three per venue, we relied on VR feedback sessions. By virtually navigating these spaces, I was able to visualize and refine how the shots would translate to each unique environment.
